Dancing On The Potty!

Are you in the midst of potty training, or getting ready to start the potty training process?

Can you believe, there’s an app for that?  Seriously, there is!  Pull-Ups iGo Potty by Joule has created a really cute app to help parents and toddlers through the potty training process. 

You set the time interval between potty alarms, which is nice as you are able to increase as they get better at holding it in.  When it is time to go potty, Patty the Potty calls you on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.  When answered, you hear, “It’s time to go potty!”  and then music begins to play. 

My three year old has been doing #2 on the potty for a year now, but still not ‘feeling’ when she has to go pee.  The first time we used this app she was so excited.  After every successful potty run, you get a sticker.  And after every 9 or so stickers a game or fun activity is unlocked.

The music that plays is a bit annoying to me, but my girl really seemed to like it.  She was kicking and dancing away (as much as she could) on the potty.  We had one more sticker to get to the first game at bed time.  She made her self go potty again so that she could play the game.

It’s a great motivator and I liked it much better than setting my kitchen egg timer –especially since said three year old would always play with the timer and push it back farther!
