Social Networking Made Easy – My Social Mania

If you are like many people in the world, you belong to at least one of the major social networking sites on the Internet.  More than likely, you belong to more than one.  Updating each site can be tedious and time consuming. 

Steve Wilson has created an app for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad called My Social Mania.  This app allows you to post status, photo, and video updates to multiple social networking sites at one time.  You can even post blog entries on both WordPress and Blogger.  You are also given the choice as to which blog you’d like to submit to if you have multiple blogs on one account.

A few (there are others) of the social networking accounts My Social Mania includes are:

• Facebook
• Twitter
• LinkedIn
• Myspace
• flickr
• You Tube
• Blogger
• WordPress
• Tumblr

What this app does not do:

• It does not show you your networking streams from each individual site, it just enables you to post status updates from you to multiple networks at once.
• It does not allow you to post a picture with your blog entry (at least, not that I’ve been able to find.)

Why would a mom want it?

How many times have you taken a picture, with your iPhone, and wanted to share it quickly with your Facebook friends or save it to flickr, but just didn’t have the time?  Blogger?  Imagine you are out and about and you see a fabulous deal you want to share with your readers.  Type and post quickly and easily through My Social Mania.

In reviewing this app, I ran into absolutely no problems.  No crashes or hang-ups.  It is very easy to setup and use.  As of right now, this app is only available for iDevices, but they are currently working on Android and Blackberry versions.
