Preschool Learning And Fun With JumpStart Preschool Magic

You all know what a fan I am of allowing my preschooler to use my iPad.  The girl has an attention span the size of a gnat, so I will take any program that can keep her attention more than 5 minutes. JumpStart Preschool Magic of Learning is a great universal app that keeps children interested by mixing it up a bit.  There are 15 different games that teach math, pre-reading and critical thinking skills.
Frankie the Dog is surrounded by magic hats. Your child spins the hats and selects the one they want to play and Frankie waves his magic wand.  Your child then selects the game they want to play.  As your child finishes a game correctly, they win a star!  Although, not every game….but they are rewarded!  When they reach a certain number of stars, they are given a secret code that unlocks a surprise on JumpStart.com.
My three year old (four next month!) had a blast playing with this.  She had two favorite games; barnyard fun and the bug catcher.  When she started playing the bug catcher, she started smacking my iPad!  I had to explain to her that they weren’t real bugs and that she needed to move the requested number and bug color over to the side!  I’m glad my screen is surviving her!
Last night, in an effort to stay up past her bedtime, my three year old asked if she could play JumpStart.  I explained that she could play with it after preschool on Tuesday, but she argued.  She informed me that she HAD to play the game so that she could learn to read, so that daddy can get her a laptop.  Apparently, she has it in her head that daddy promised to buy her a laptop when she learned to read!  Do four year olds own real laptops?!?!  I swear, her birthday next month she will be 16!
A GREAT thing about this app?  In App Purchases were removed in the last update!  I LOVE that they did this!
